Navara D40 Turbo Upgrade – 10,000 km Performance Test

It has now been 6 months and 10,000 km since we began testing the new Spartan Navara D40 turbo upgrade, and the results have been absolutely spectacular. By far, this is the best bolt-on D40 Navara turbo on the market. Designed for reliability and high performance, the STS-769708 turbo boasts a boost rating of 16–30 PSI, oil and water cooling, a Spartan custom bearing set, a 46MM 6+6 billet compressor wheel, a 9-blade hi-flow turbine, and a pre-calibrated vacuum actuator.

⚡ Navara D40 Turbo Upgrade – Stress Test & Dyno Results

After 10,000 km at 38 PSI, we tore the turbo down and inspected the internals. Everything was flawless—zero scoring, zero play, and all components looking as they did when built. We then returned the D40 to the dyno for stress testing at 40 PSI. Over the past month, the vehicle has handled multiple 4WD trips and daily driving with ease, using standard injectors, stock head gasket, a straight-through high-flow exhaust, and a Demon Pro Parts intercooler.

Performance metrics for this Navara D40 turbo upgrade:

• 208.1 kW

• 591.9 Nm Torque

Looking ahead, V2 of the D40 STS-769708 will feature a slightly smaller turbine wheel to bring power earlier in the rev range while retaining high RPM performance. Currently, we hold the record for the highest HP on a stock-frame D40 turbo.
